LSXC22396S
LG InstaView LSXC22396S Side-by-Side Repair
Most common issues on this model
- InstaView panel and the interior lighting behind it
- Slim SpacePlus ice maker in the door: fill, tray and release
- Door-in-Door seal and latch
- ThinQ Care diagnostics and Wi-Fi connection
LSXC22396S is a counter-depth InstaView side-by-side refrigerator with 22 cubic feet, a Slim SpacePlus ice system and ThinQ technology with ThinQ Care. It is an older model, and plenty of owners still use theirs daily.
With the ice maker in the door and the InstaView compartment next to it, the door carries a lot of the working parts. We check the knock panel, the Door-in-Door latch, the gasket and the ice maker fill together, since they interact with how well the door closes. ThinQ Care gives an app-based way to report issues, so if you still use it, we look at the Wi-Fi link as part of the visit.
Label first: we note the model and serial, then source the right part for your unit. You get a written price first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty after the repair.

Error codes this model can show
Why would the ice maker in the door of an LSXC22396S stop?
We check the water fill and filter, the ice tray and ejection, and the door seal. A door that does not seal also warms the ice maker, so we look at both.
What is ThinQ Care?
It is an app-based feature for monitoring and reporting on the refrigerator. If it stops connecting, we check the Wi-Fi network and the pairing, and we make sure cooling is working normally.
How do you match parts for this refrigerator?
We read the model and serial from the label inside the cabinet, then order the part that fits that unit rather than a similar-looking InstaView model.
