WT7700HKA
LG WT7700HKA 5.7 cu. ft. Top Load Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Water inlet valves when the tub fills slowly or not at all
- Steam supply during a steam cycle
- Lid switch when the washer stops mid-cycle
- Drain pump and filter when water lingers
- Load balance and suspension on large, bulky loads
The WT7700HKA is a top load washer with a 5.7 cu. ft. Mega Capacity tub, TurboWash, LG Steam Technology and a fingerprint and smudge resistant finish. It is an older model that remains in many homes, most often in a laundry closet or utility room.
A tub this large puts more weight on the suspension and drive during spin, so uneven loads are worth attention. For models of this type we check the fill valves and hoses first, then the lid switch, drain pump and the spin balance. Because this one lists steam, we also look at the steam supply when that cycle misbehaves.
Before we order parts we read the model and serial from the label to match them exactly. You receive a written price before work starts, and the repair is covered by our 30-day workmanship warranty.

Why does a big 5.7 cu. ft. washer shake on spin?
Large tubs react strongly to uneven loads. We check that the cabinet is level, the suspension is intact and the washer is balancing. Persistent shaking with a small load points to worn suspension parts.
Can you service the steam function on the WT7700HKA?
Yes. The model is listed with LG Steam Technology, so we check the water inlet, hoses and steam supply when steam cycles fail or the tub does not fill as expected.
What should I do before you arrive?
Empty the tub if you can, note which cycle shows the problem and have the model label ready. SmartDiagnosis details, if you used them, also help us start in the right place.
