What E7 means

E7 appears on the LG SideKick pedestal washer. It means the stacking switch is not working properly, or the SideKick is not installed correctly under an LG front-load washer or dryer. The SideKick has to sit stacked under a full-size LG appliance. An older list adds that the switch will not work under a non-LG appliance, or under an LG appliance made before 2009.

Which machine can sit above the SideKick?

It must be stacked under a full-size LG front-load washer or dryer. Older code lists note that LG units made before 2009 do not work with the switch.

Why does a misaligned SideKick show E7?

The stacking switch needs to be pressed correctly by the unit above. When the fit is off, the switch does not register and E7 appears.

Can you fix E7 if the unit above is the wrong one?

If the pairing is not supported, adjusting the SideKick will not change that. We check the pairing first, then tell you plainly what can and cannot be done.
