Most common issues on this model
- Drum motion behavior across the wash motions
- High-pressure nozzles and inlet screens
- Steam path used by the Allergiene cycle
- ThinQ pairing and network connection
The WM9000HVA is an LG front load washer with a 5.2 cubic feet Mega Capacity drum. Its 6Motion technology uses different wash motions, its enhanced TurboWash adds high-pressure nozzles, and it has an AAFA certified Allergiene Cycle that uses steam, plus ThinQ app access.
Because the drum changes how it moves during a wash, a motor or motor-control problem can show up as a drum that only turns one way, hesitates between motions or sounds uneven. We watch the drum through a test cycle and listen for the change in rhythm before pointing at the motor. Spray and steam both rely on a clean, steady water supply, so inlet screens and hoses are an early stop.
The washer is large and usually installed with space around it, which helps us reach the pump filter and rear connections. We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering parts. You approve a written price before work starts, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
What is 6Motion on the WM9000HVA?
It is a wash feature in which the drum uses different motions for a thorough clean. We watch those motions in a test cycle to see whether the drum turns and changes direction as it should.
Does this model use steam?
The Allergiene Cycle uses steam to deep clean. Slow fill, weak heat or a leaking door seal lead us to the water supply, heating path and boot.
Is the WM9000HVA the same size as the WM8900HBA?
Both are listed at 5.2 cubic feet Mega Capacity. They differ in features such as 6Motion, so we match parts to the exact model and serial on your label.
