Ed4 is reported by LG front-load washers with an alphanumeric display and the ezDispense automatic dispenser, including the washer half of a WashTower and the WashCombo. The liquid softener level did not decrease, and the control found an open circuit in the softener pump. That means the electrical path to the pump is not complete. The owner sees Ed4, and softener dosing is unavailable until the washer can run the pump.
