WM4070HVA
LG WM4070HVA TurboWash 4.3 cu. ft. Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- TurboWash spray and fill
- Door boot and latch
- Drain pump filter and hose
- Inlet valves and screens for ColdWash cycles
- Spin noise and balance
The WM4070HVA is an older LG TurboWash washer with a 4.3 cubic foot drum, ColdWash and a direct drive motor. The WM4070HWA is a variant.
Our first checks are the ones owners notice: slow fill, water left in the drum and a door that will not unlock. We look at the inlet valves and screens, then the pump filter and the latch. ColdWash cycles depend on solid water flow, so weak fill gets extra attention.
We read the model and serial from the label before ordering. You approve a written price before work, and the repair includes a 30-day workmanship warranty.
If your washer is the HWA version instead, tell us when you book and we will check its label on the visit.

What capacity does the WM4070HVA have?
It holds 4.3 cubic feet, a size described as ultra large. If you are asking about replacing or moving it, we measure your install, and for any part order we read the label first.
The door will not open after the cycle. What now?
Water left in the drum, a latch that stays locked or a drain problem can all be the cause. We check the drain first, then the latch and control.
Is this model ENERGY STAR qualified?
Yes. It does not change the repair, but a proper fill and drain keep the washer working as designed, so we check those during service.
