WM8100HWA
LG WM8100HWA Washer with Mega Capacity and Steam Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Steam heating and water path
- TurboWash fill and spray
- Door boot and latch
- Drain pump filter and hose
- Drum bearing noise in spin
The WM8100HWA is an older LG front load washer with a 5.2 cubic foot mega capacity drum, combining TurboWash, LG Steam and 6Motion with a direct drive motor.
Because it handles so much laundry in a load, we weigh balance and drain flow early in a diagnosis. We check the pump filter and hose, the latch and the inlet screens, and the door boot for moisture. If the steam or wash performance falls short, we look at heating and water flow before the control.
The label provides the exact model and serial, and we read both before ordering parts. Our price is written first, and the repair carries a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
Why is my large washer slow to drain?
A clogged pump filter, a kinked hose or a weak pump are the usual reasons. We start with the filter because it is quick and often the answer.
Do you service the steam feature?
Yes. We check the heating, the water inlet and the cycle response, then confirm the washer fills, heats and drains normally. Steam depends on all three working in order before it can run.
What does the 10-year warranty on the motor mean for repair?
It is the maker's term and may have ended for your washer. Either way we quote our price in writing, and our own work has a 30-day workmanship warranty.
