DLEX4200B
LG DLEX4200B Duct-Indicator Dryer Repair

Most common issues on this model
- FlowSense indicator that stays on with a clean duct
- Exhaust duct length and bends
- Steam inlet for TurboSteam
- Heating circuit and AI drying behavior
The DLEX4200B is a current LG front load electric dryer. Its 7.4 cu. ft. drum, TurboSteam, AI drying and ThinQ app are paired with FlowSense duct clogging and lint filter indicators, which warn when airflow drops.
When the FlowSense indicator stays on, we first clean the lint filter and the duct, then measure the airflow at the dryer. If the duct is clear and the light remains, we examine the sensing path. Dry results get the same airflow-first check, then the heating circuit, because the best sensor cannot compensate for a clogged vent.
TurboSteam is a separate water-fed function, so we test its hose and valve on their own. We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering anything, and you approve the written price first.
Key features

What does the FlowSense duct indicator tell me?
It signals when airflow through the dryer and duct is reduced. We clean the lint filter and the duct, measure airflow and check the sensing path if the warning remains.
Can a clean duct still trigger the indicator?
Yes, if the sensing path has a problem or the duct has a crushed bend. We measure airflow at the machine and at the outside hood to find where it drops.
Is the 7.4 cu. ft. drum harder on the vent?
A big drum moves more air, so a long run with many bends matters more. We check the duct length and routing and suggest changes if the run is limiting performance.
