Most common issues on this model
- ThinQ Care alert that does not match the real condition
- FlowSense duct and lint indicators
- TurboSteam water feed
- Drying time with AI dry settings
Installed beside a washer in many homes, the DLEX4500B is a current LG front load electric dryer with a 7.4 cu. ft. ultra large drum, TurboSteam, AI-selected dry settings, the ThinQ app and FlowSense duct clogging and lint filter indicators. Like other electric dryers, it needs a 240-volt outlet and a vent to the outside.
The alerts on this dryer are useful starting points. When the app or the display warns about the duct, we clean the filter, inspect the run and measure airflow to confirm. If the warning shows with a clear duct, we examine the sensing path instead of guessing.
A TurboSteam cycle with no visible steam leads us to the water hose and the inlet valve. We confirm the model and serial from the label before we order anything, and the written price comes before the work.

Error codes this model can show
The app says my dryer needs attention. Is that reliable?
The alert is a starting point. We confirm it with a physical check of the filter, the duct and the airflow, then test the sensing path if the alert remains.
Why do my clothes take longer than before?
A restricted vent is the most common cause. We clean the filter and duct, measure airflow and, if airflow is normal, test the heating circuit.
Does the TurboSteam cycle use the same water line as a washer?
It needs its own water connection at the dryer. If the cycle shows no steam, we test the hose, its screen and the inlet valve.
