Most common issues on this model
- Gas ignition when there is no heat
- Burner shutoff caused by overheating from lint
- Wrinkle Care tumble after the cycle ends
- Moisture sensor surfaces
- Vent length and elbows behind the dryer
The DLGX9001V is a large gas dryer with a 9.0 cu. ft. drum and a Wrinkle Care option. A drum of this volume suits comforters, towels and big families, and it is usually paired with a washer of similar size in a laundry room.
When a dryer like this stops drying well, we separate heat from airflow. Heat means the igniter, the gas valve coils and flame sensing. Airflow means the lint screen, the vent run and the hood outside. We test each in turn and run a full cycle to see whether the burner stays on and the sensor ends the cycle at the right moment.
Before we order a part, we copy the model and serial from the label so the match is exact. We quote in writing first, and every repair has a 30-day warranty.

What size is the DLGX9001V?
It has a 9.0 cu. ft. drum, which LG lists as a large capacity gas dryer. We service the heat system, the vent and the controls as one working package.
Why does my large gas dryer shut the burner off early?
Overheating from a clogged vent is the common cause, and a weak igniter or sensor can do it as well. We clean the airflow path, test the igniter and valve coils, and watch a full cycle.
What does the Wrinkle Care option do?
Wrinkle Care tumbles a finished load from time to time to limit creasing. If it does not run, we check the setting, the door switch and the drum drive, and we confirm the cycle ends correctly first.
