Most common issues on this model
- Sensor Dry cycle length
- FlowSense indicators
- Igniter and gas valve coils
- Lint filter housing and exhaust
The DLG3401W is a current LG gas dryer with a 7.4 cu. ft. ultra large capacity. Sensor Dry adjusts drying time, FlowSense indicators watch the duct and lint filter, and the dryer is ENERGY STAR certified.
A dryer that saves energy by sensing still needs good airflow to do it. If a load takes too long, we begin with the filter and the duct, then the sensor and the burner. Gas heat starts with the igniter and valve coils, so a lit-then-lost flame sends us to those parts and to the exhaust.
We check that the gas shutoff is open and leak-check any joint we handle. We read the model and serial from the label before ordering parts, and you get the price in writing before work begins.

Why does my dryer run long even with Sensor Dry?
The sensor can only end the cycle when the load is dry, and poor airflow slows that. We check the vent, the filter and the burner before the sensor.
What do the FlowSense indicators watch?
They watch for a clogged duct and a dirty lint filter. If either keeps lighting after cleaning, we measure airflow and test the sensing path.
Does ENERGY STAR mean it uses less gas?
It means the model meets an efficiency standard. Keeping the vent clear is what lets it dry efficiently, so we check airflow when a load takes longer than expected.
