DLG7401VE
LG DLG7401VE ThinQ-Care Dryer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Door latch on the dual-opening door
- Alert accuracy against a physical check
- Heat and airflow
- Gas valve coils and igniter
The DLG7401VE is a current LG gas dryer. It lists a 7.3 cu. ft. ultra large capacity, a dual-opening EasyLoad door, ThinQ app functions with ThinQ Care alerts, Sensor Dry and FlowSense duct clogging and lint filter indicators. Its facts match those of the DLG7301VE, so we confirm the exact number on the label.
We approach this dryer in the same order each time: the door and its switch, the vent and airflow, then the gas side. Gas heat that never starts leads us to the shutoff, the igniter and the valve coils. A lit flame that drops out leads us to exhaust restriction first.
App and alert problems start with a network check. The price is in writing before work.

How can two dryers have the same features?
Neighboring model numbers often differ in minor details we cannot tell from the features alone, so we read the label and match parts to the exact number.
Where does the gas shutoff usually sit?
It is usually on the pipe behind or beside the dryer. If it is closed, no heat is produced. We confirm it first, then test the igniter and valve coils.
My app alert says to clean the duct, but airflow feels fine. Why?
Airflow at the machine can differ from airflow at the hood. We measure both and check the sensing path if the alert continues after a clean duct.
