WM5800HAA
LG WM5800HAA Pet Care Washer Repair in Houston
Most common issues on this model
- Steam feed during Allergiene and Pet Care cycles
- TurboWash 360 nozzles and inlet water pressure
- Drain pump filter for pet hair buildup
- Door boot and seal for odor and residue
The WM5800HAA is a front load LG washer whose Mega Capacity drum holds 5.0 cubic feet. It is listed together with the WM5800HVA and carries AI technology that selects wash settings, TurboWash 360 Technology, an Allergiene Cycle that uses steam, and a Pet Care Cycle for pet clothes, toys and blankets.
Pet laundry changes what we check. Hair and fibers collect in the drain pump filter and the door boot, so a slow drain or a lingering odor often starts there rather than in the control. Steam and TurboWash both depend on a steady water supply, so we look at the inlet screens and hoses, then confirm the spray and steam cycles are working during a short test.
Houston homes with dogs and cats can fill that filter quickly, so we show you where it is and how to clear it between visits. Before we order any part we read the model and serial from the label. The price is written and agreed before work starts, and we back the repair with a 30-day workmanship warranty.

Error codes this model can show
Why does my pet laundry leave a smell in the washer?
Hair and residue gather in the door boot and the drain pump filter. We clean both, check that the washer drains fully, and test the steam and Pet Care cycles to see that they run properly.
Is the WM5800HVA the same washer?
It is listed with the WM5800HAA as a variant. We still read your exact model and serial from the label so the parts we order fit.
How large is the drum?
The listing gives 5.0 cubic feet Mega Capacity. A drum that large can carry heavy bedding and pet blankets, so we check leveling and balance when the spin shakes.
