WM8000HVA
LG WM8000HVA 5.2 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Washer Repair
Most common issues on this model
- Door boot, glass and latch on a large door
- Steam heating and inlet
- TurboWash fill and spray
- Drain pump filter
- Spin balance with big loads
The WM8000HVA is an older LG front load washer with a 5.2 cubic foot mega capacity drum, TurboWash, Steam and SmartDiagnosis, and it is compatible with the LG SideKick pedestal washer. The WM8000HWA is a variant.
A drum this large carries heavy wet loads, so spin balance, the suspension and the bearing get our attention when it shakes. We also check the door boot, the pump filter and the inlet screens, then the steam heating if that cycle underperforms. A pedestal washer beside it needs its own clear hose routing.
We confirm the model and serial from the label before ordering. You see a written price first, and a 30-day workmanship warranty backs our repair.

Error codes this model can show
How large is the WM8000HVA drum?
It is 5.2 cubic feet, listed as mega capacity. Heavy loads put more weight on the bearing and suspension, which we check when the washer is loud.
What does SmartDiagnosis do for you on a call?
It is a feature that helps flag a problem. We use it with our own testing, then confirm what we find at the machine before quoting.
Can it be paired with a SideKick?
It is listed as compatible with the LG SideKick pedestal washer. If one is installed beside it, we check the hoses, the drain and the leveling for both machines during the visit.
