DLHC4002B
LG DLHC4002B 7.8 Cu. Ft. Ventless Dryer Repair

Most common issues on this model
- Lint filter and condenser cleaning when cycles run long
- Condensate drain and pump path
- Heat pump performance when drying stays weak
- Direct Drive motor noise
- Infrared and Sensor Dry readings
No outside duct is needed for the DLHC4002B, an electric heat pump dryer with a 7.8 cu. ft. mega capacity drum and a direct drive motor. Without a vent, it can go in places a vented dryer cannot, such as a closet or interior room.
Longer cycles are the main complaint on this type of dryer. We check the lint filter, condenser and drain path first because they are the most common causes, then look at the infrared sensor and heat pump performance.
The Direct Drive motor removes the belt, so noise points us to the drum support and motor instead. A written price comes first, and the model and serial label guide our parts order.

Why is my heat pump dryer slow?
Heat pump dryers run cooler and slower than vented ones by design, but long cycles usually mean a clogged filter, a dirty condenser or a blocked drain. We check those first.
Does a Direct Drive motor need a belt?
No. The motor turns the drum directly, so there is no belt to replace. Noise or vibration points us to the drum support or the motor, and we inspect both before quoting a repair.
Do I need an outside vent?
No, it is a ventless dryer, so no outside duct is needed. It does need a drain path for condensate, so we inspect the drain line or pump when water collects near the unit.
