Most common issues on this model
- Duct and lint filter indicators and the airflow behind them
- Sensor Dry readings and moisture bars
- Heating element and thermal parts
- Drum support rollers and belt
The DLE3400V is a current LG electric dryer with a 7.4 cubic feet Ultra Large Capacity drum. Sensor Dry adjusts drying time, FlowSense indicators warn about duct clogging and a dirty lint filter, and the unit is ENERGY STAR certified.
Because it is built around sensing, we start with airflow and the sensor. We clear the lint filter and check the exhaust run, then clean the moisture bars. A unit that still dries slowly goes on to the heating element, thermostat and fuse.
Large drums put weight on rollers and the belt, so a thump or squeal gets a look as well. The label gives the model and serial, which we read before ordering a part, and the price is written first.

What are the FlowSense indicators?
They tell you when the duct is clogging or the lint filter needs attention. When one lights, we check the vent run before any repair.
Why does my large dryer take two cycles?
Weak airflow or a weak heater are common causes. We measure both and tell you which one needs work. A blocked duct also raises heat inside the dryer and can shorten the life of the heater and fuses.
What causes a thumping from a dryer drum?
Worn rollers or a stretched belt are common. We check them during the visit. We check them early because a loose roller can wear the belt and the drum seal as well.
